FLEFF Open Space Design for 2009-2010
FLEFF Open Space Design for 2009-2010

This year,  FLEFF institutes the OPEN SPACE PROJECT, a series of user generated online events exploring all the definitions, topographies, cartographies,  places, ideas, concepts, and actions that help us understand open space.  The Open Space Project runs from September 2009 to June 2010.  Each project will roll out consecutively over the next nine months.  The Map Open Space Project is on-going, with no deadlines.

Look for our announcements about our yearlong series of FLEFF community collaborations, exhibitions and contests to open up spaces:

Make Open Space:
Remix our 2010 FLEFF artwork into a short FLEFF trailer that explores open space in a juried competition and popular vote to win prizes

Define Open Space: Submit one image and one sentence to our collaborative Open Space Dictionary, a juried competition with prizes

Compose Open Space: Submit MP3 sound files to trace the soundscapes of open space for our collaborative Open Space Sound Lab,  a juried competition with prizes

Map Open Space: Submit projects in radical cartography to map open spaces and closed spaces.

Keep checking our FLEFF website for more details on how to participate and join us in this year long research, writing, art-making and programming project.
