Exploratory Program

Opportunities beyond the Classroom

As an exploratory student at Ithaca College, you'll engage in a wide array of activities outside the classroom. You might join clubs, play intramural and varsity sports, attend concerts and poetry readings, run for student government, work as a resident assistant, participate in lighting or sound work for theater productions, or take photographs for the student newspaper. With careful planning, you could even spend a semester abroad studying at the Ithaca College London Center or at another study-abroad site.

In pursuing extracurricular interests you'll get to know students with diverse backgrounds and different talents and interests. You may develop leadership, communication, or team-building skills that will serve you well in the "real world" after graduation.

Indeed, becoming an active participant in a wide range of activities at the College can be an education in itself. You may discover that your extracurricular interests can lead directly to selection of an academic major. At Ithaca College the link between academic and extracurricular activities can be a vital part of your investigation of majors, minors, and career possibilities.
