If you weren’t there, you missed hearing Tony DeSare sing, watching nonagenarian Vergiu Cornea glow, and witnessing long-lost brothers and sisters reunite.

Among the more than 800 alumni and guests who came to Alumni Weekend 2008 were nearly two dozen theater arts grads who came to honor retired professor Vergiu Cornea, as he received the alumni association’s James J. Whalen Meritorious Service Award. The weekend also included a visit by new president Tom Rochon and a gathering of Greek organizations that brought back 275 members from pre-1993.
