The Summer Piano Institute at Ithaca College is a comprehensive, 10-day program of intensive study for talented young pianists ages 12 through 18.
Students in grades 7-12 are invited to enter the solo and concerto competitions. Prizes include cash awards and a $16,000 Ithaca College scholarship.
The longest-running such program in the Northeast, the Ithaca College Suzuki Institutes provide an opportunity for students and teachers alike to study the philosophy and teachings of celebrated Japanese pedagogue Shinichi Suzuki.
Hosted on IC's campus during the summer, the Signature Music Camp offers a noncompetitive musical setting for young people in its Teen Camp (ages 15-17) and Youth Camp (ages 12-14).
The String Institute at Ithaca College, sponsored by the New York American String Teachers Association (NYASTA), is open to all string students entering grades 5 through 12 who have a minimum of one year of orchestra or reading experience.
