Throughout the Fall 2008 semester, President Tom Rochon and his team of "co-listeners" invited participation in a series of listening sessions. Participants were asked to offer their thoughts on the meaning of "excellence" for Ithaca College, and how we might more fully achieve our vision of becoming "the standard of excellence for residential comprehensive colleges, fostering intellect, creativity, and character in an active, student-centered learning community." The "co-listeners" kept notes on the ideas and feedback that were shared in those sessions.
The visioning process moved on to the next crucial step: identifying specific priorities for academic excellence. What arose from those steps is an exciting new initiative called (IC)2 (Ithaca College Integrative Curriculum).
