Philip H. Dougherty Minority Journalism Scholarship

 Established to honor the late Philip H. Dougherty, respected columnist for the New York Times.

Scholarship Criteria

• Proven financial need as established by the Ithaca College Office of Financial Aid
• Evidence of academic and/or creative merit in journalism
• Evidence supporting student participation in journalism cocurricular activities in the Roy H. Park School of Communications, as well as other related and appropriate activities in the College and community
• Evidence of excellence, ability, and promise in journalism
• Minority status as determined by self-identification as noted in the student's individual record
