Princeton Review has once again named Ithaca College as one of the most outstanding higher education institutions in the country. In its 2024 edition of “The Best 389 Colleges,” the education services company also lists IC in the top 25 in five individual categories:

- #17 Best College Theater
- #21 Green Matters: Everyone Cares About Conservation
- #24 Most Liberal Students
Only about 15% of America’s 2,600 four-year colleges are profiled in the book, with Princeton Review choosing those included based on data it annually collects from surveys of 2,000 college administrators about their institutions’ academic offerings. The company also reviews data from its surveys of students attending the schools who report on their experiences at their college.

IC’s student-run newspaper, The Ithacan, and radio stations, 92-WICB and VIC Radio, are based in the Roy H. Park School of Communications. They routinely win regional and nationals awards for their comprehensive news and sports coverage.
Within the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance, the Center for Theatre and Dance annually presents a number of main-stage productions as part of a vibrant campus and local community theatre scene.
IC is continually striving to integrate sustainability into its academic offerings and operations, and has been named as one of the nation’s most environmentally responsible colleges in Princeton Review’s “Guide to Green Colleges.”
Students surveyed for the guide cited Ithaca College for having small class sizes that afford plenty of personal attention, while offering many of the resources you would expect to find at a much larger university. They also noted that professors are “really engaging and understand how to present the material so that it is relevant and meaningful.”
