1. Obtain IC Permission
Please email oes@ithaca.edu so we can email you the petition form you need to fill out and sign. Once submitted, the IC ROTC Enrollment at Cornell University form will be routed electronically to collect required approvals/signatures. Once all approvals have been collected, you will receive a confirmation email along with a PDF file of the completed petition. Note that ROTC students must be enrolled in at least 12 ITHACA COLLEGE course credits in order to participate in the ROTC program. They cannot count their ROTC credits as part of those 12 credits.
2. Register at Cornell
Access and review the Cornell registration information: https://sce.cornell.edu/courses/register/credit/visiting. Click the red “Register online” button IN SECTION 2.B. to register. Be sure to register for courses in the appropriate semester. Class offerings for specific semesters can be found here.
3. Look for email from Cornell
You will receive email communications from Cornell about additional registration steps. ALL required steps provided by Cornell's School of Continuing Education must be completed before your enrollment is complete. If you have questions about Cornell's registration process, please contact Cornell's Office Continuing Education at cusce@cornell.edu.
4. Submit end of semester transcript request
At the end of the semester, once Cornell grades have been posted, you must submit a request to have an electronic version of your Cornell transcript sent to the Ithaca College Registrar's Office. (There is no cost for electronic transcripts issued by Cornell University.)
Mailing address:
Ithaca College
Office of the Registrar
953 Danby Rd.
Ithaca, NY 14850
registrar@ithaca.edu
After the Registrar's Office receives your Cornell transcript, they will add your ROTC classes to your IC transcript. Be aware that it may take several days for coursework to appear in HomerConnect.
*IC students who want to enroll in ROTC courses at Cornell, but who are not official ROTC cadets should follow instructions for the IC-CU Exchange Program.
