Classroom learning is just the first step toward professional practice as an HSHP student. Consistent with the College's historical roots in theory, practice, and performance, you will participate in an experiential learning opportunity prior to graduation. This experience will require you to be an active and intentional learner outside of the classroom. It will serve as a bridge from understanding theory, to practicing under the mentorship of faculty or working professionals, to performing your craft independently once you graduate. Throughout the process, your fieldwork coordinator will ask you to reflect on and evaluate your experiences to help you identify areas for improvement and strengthen your ability to be a continuous learner throughout your professional career.
