Exercise Science and Athletic Training

The Department of Exercise Science and Athletic Training awards bachelors of science (B.S.) degrees in the following majors:

Athletic Training

Emphasizes the prevention, evaluation, care, management and rehabilitation of injuries in athletes and active populations.

Understand the physiological, neuromuscular, and biomechanical effects of exercise and strength and conditioning on a human body.

Health Sciences and Public Health

The Department of Health Sciences and Public Health (HSPH) awards bachelors of science (B.S.) degrees in the following majors:

Health Sciences

Obtain a solid foundation for work or graduate study in nursing, nutrition, medicine, physician assistant, research, or therapies.

Public and Community Health

Help people best live, work, and exercise or communities pursue ethical, fair, and cost-effective public health policies.

Occupational Therapy (OT), Physical Therapy (PT), and Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (SLPA)

The Department of Occupational Therapy (OT) offers a combined bachelors/masters or doctorate program which awards a bachelors of science (B.S.) in occupational science and either a masters (M.S.) or a doctorate (O.T.D.) in occupational therapy. The Department of Physical Therapy (PT) offers a combined bachelors/clinical doctorate program which awards a bachelors of science (B.S.) in clinical health studies and a doctor of physical therapy (D.P.T). The Department of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (SLPA) awards a bachelors of science (B.S.) in speech-language pathology and offers a separate masters program (see graduate programs):

Occupational Therapy

Learn the skills to help people cope with physical, developmental, emotional, and cognitive disabilities.
