Each employee is assigned to a benefits group based on the band of each employee’s position. When inquiring about a benefit, the employee should inform the Office of Human Resources staff member of the employee’s benefits group.
Group I Bands K – O, professors and associate professors
Group II Bands A – J, RG, TJ and TK and all other faculty
If a staff employee was hired prior to July 1, 1978 the employee may have “grandfathered” benefits. This will be indicated in the individual’s official personnel file in the Office of Human Resources.
