I hope this message finds you well! I write to you today seeking your support and participation in an important upcoming opportunity that holds tremendous significance for our campus community. As President Cornish shared in a recent announcement to the Ithaca College community, we will be officially launching a Campus Climate Survey on Tuesday, October 17, that will help give us a better understanding of the most pressing and vital concerns of our community.
As a college that is committed to being an employer of choice, it is imperative that we foster a culture that fully embraces our core values of inclusion and equal access where all individuals can find a sense of belonging that allows them to tap into their exceptional potential. To achieve this aim, it is important that we take this opportunity to listen and to understand the unique perspectives and experiences of our campus community and this Campus Climate Survey is a vital resource in this endeavor. This fully confidential and anonymous opportunity for you to share your thoughts and concerns will play an integral role in informing our strategic planning around policies, programs, and initiatives that will truly shape the future of the Ithaca College experience.
Over the coming days, I ask you to take a few moments to visit the dedicated website for the Campus Climate Survey, www.ithaca.edu/campus-climate, to learn more about the survey process. On Tuesday, October 17, the link to the fully confidential and anonymous survey will be shared with the campus community and will also be accessible on the Campus Climate webpage. The survey will take approximately 20-30 minutes to complete and can be finished in separate segments as long as you utilize the same device. Individuals who successfully finish the survey will have the opportunity to opt-in to a drawing to receive a variety of incentive prizes.
In closing, I want to emphasize that it's the passion, dedication, and unique perspectives of our staff that make Ithaca College so special. Each one of you plays a significant role in shaping our institution's character and success. By participating in the Campus Climate Survey along with our students and faculty, you have the power to influence our future, and to ensure that our workplace experience aligns with our values and aspirations. During our last Campus Climate Survey process in 2016, our campus had a 46 percent response rate. With the energy and enthusiasm of our IC staff, I know that we will be able to exceed that mark this fall!
Will you please consider sharing your voice and being a part of this process? Thank you!
Sincerely,
Kirra Franzese
Associate Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer
