Dear Ithaca College Community:
The survey period for the Campus Climate Survey ended last Friday, and I wanted to take a moment to let you know the next steps of this important process and to thank the many members of our campus community who participated (more than half of all faculty and staff and more than a quarter of all students). The team from Rankin Climate, which has conducted more than 250 campus climate assessment projects over the last two decades, said we had an outstanding participation rate, which should be a tremendous source of pride for all of us.
Rankin’s team will now process and present your anonymous data to give us a better understanding of the most pressing and vital concerns of our community. Helping us to create a more inclusive campus, the results will better enable us to develop programs and policies where we find opportunities for growth and to develop and extend areas where we are showing strength and momentum.
Our dedicated website, www.ithaca.edu/campus-climate, will continue to provide important announcements about the results (expected in the spring), updates on opportunities to discuss our findings, and other key details such as timelines and answers to frequently asked questions.
Congratulations to the 136 randomly drawn winners of our participation prizes (all winners have been emailed)! For participants who did not win, thank you for adding your time and especially your voice to this important project!
Sincerely,
La Jerne Terry Cornish
President
