Khayla Robinson

Khayla Robinson is a senior Television and Digital Media Production major with minors in Advertising, Public Relations, and Marketing Communications and African Diaspora Studies. She is passionate about the music entertainment industry and organizations centered around social justice—even the intersection of both in future work. This past summer, Khayla was a Motion Design Intern for Apple—located in Sunnyvale, California—where she exercised her design and strategically creative thinking skills by working on Apple related projects with experienced designers. At Ithaca, she continues her involvement with WICB and Pulse Hip-Hop, one of IC’s dance teams. As WICB’s new Rap, Hip-Hop, and R&B Music Director, she manages the Weekend Rhythms section of the station by adding new music, mentoring DJs, and connecting with the community. As Co-President of Pulse, she continues to foster an environment for women who share a passion for dance and collaboration. Khayla is working with young people at The Village at Ithaca this year, helping them to create a series of podcasts while teaching them about journalism and giving them a forum for self-expression. She is also continuing her work with Park Scholar Eden Strachan ('21) on the award-winning and groundbreaking multimedia project, "Black Girls Don't Get Love."
