I want to be a PA because I want to provide quality healthcare and decrease healthcare disparities in black and minority communities. The lateral flexibility of the profession matches my various interests in medicine. I chose Ithaca College's PA program because we share an initiative to increase black and minority representatives in medicine and a mission to serve disadvantaged and underserved populations in healthcare. I also chose this program because I am confident that I will receive a challenging and comprehensive education that will prepare me to become a competent PA. I am looking forward to forming lasting relationships with the PA community and obtaining clinical experience in various specialties.
