My main objective is to provide high-quality care to underserved populations. I firmly believe in the importance of representation and want to serve as an advocate, a motivator, and an educator for these communities and improve people's ways of thinking about their health. I chose IC because of its emphasis on working with medically underserved populations, BIPOC communities, and its desire to bring more awareness and support to mental health issues. In addition, as an IC alum, I knew that I would receive a great education in this program, be supported in every step of my journey, and that I could rely on my campus connections for guidance, love, and a listening ear. I am looking forward to learning more about myself through this journey, building and strengthening my connections with my fellow cohort members, and becoming the best provider I can be for my future patients.
