I want to be a PA because I want to increase my scope of practice and to help work towards reducing health disparities within the underserved communities. I am also interested in the great variety of specialties PAs have the opportunity to explore. I chose Ithaca College due to their emphasis on providing care within the local underserved communities. Ithaca College places an emphasis on self-care within the program to ensure success, effective learning, and support to their learners. What I most look forward to as a future PA is to advocate for my patients and to increase access to care within the underserved communities. As a current PA student, what I look forward to most are clinical rotations, and team-based learning.
