I want to be a PA because I wanted to be in a position where I have an active role on improving patients quality of life, I want to focus on preventive medicine, educating and serving the community I live in, especially underserve and unrepresented communities. What attracted me the most about the profession is that it focus on patient care and the opportunity to work in different specialties. I chose Ithaca College because the program's equity framework that focus on diversity, equity and inclusion. The program also highlights the importance on mental health and thrives on teaching their learners how to apply it to be better clinicians and serve our future patients better. I look forward to apply all the knowledge acquire during the didactic year to practice during my clinical rotation period and working in different specialties.
