The Dean provides overall leadership for the School of Humanities and Sciences. This includes, within a shared governance model, all curriculum development, delivery, and assessment; co-curricular and experiential learning development and delivery; faculty recruitment, evaluation, and development; facilities planning and renovation; student support, including academic advising; school and departmental policies and procedures; enrollment planning, marketing, and admission recruitment; and alumni outreach and institutional advancement activities.
