Composition Audition Requirements

Applicants to the B.M. in Composition program are required to provide additional materials with their Audition Form submission.

Students applying for a B.M. in Composition will be asked to submit two (2) scores of original works (with sound files, if possible). These will be uploaded as part of their Audition Form.
B.M. in Composition applicants have the option to audition on an instrument to be considered for a Composition degree with a Performance emphasis. Differences between the tracks within the Composition degree can be found on the B.M. in Composition Catalog Page.
- If you are interested in the Performance emphasis, you will need to satisfy the listed audition requirements, as well as pre-screening requirements (if necessary).
B.M. in Composition applicants will then complete an interview with our Composition faculty. This will be part of the audition day process.
