Study Abroad Orientations

These sessions are MANDATORY for students who have been accepted to study abroad on an exchange, affiliated, non-affiliated, or faculty-led program.

The below dates are for students who have been accepted to study abroad on a Winter or Spring faculty-led, exchange, affiliated, or non-affiliated program.  Dates for those going on a Summer & Fall 2025 program will be announced in late January 2025.

Sessions are held via Zoom. Students should make every effort to attend both sessions at the time they are offered, but each will be recorded and made available for viewing online if you can't attend the synchronous meetings.

IC LOGISTICS

The IC Logistics session goes over all of the logistical information you'll need to understand issues like credit and grade transfer, registering for classes while abroad, billing and payment for study abroad programs, on-campus housing when you return, and accessing support from Student Accessibility Services while abroad.

The Traveling Abroad session deals with important information about international travel, including passports & visas, safety & security while abroad, accessing your money from abroad, culture shock, packing, and many other relevant topics.
