David Meberg is President and CEO of Consolidated Flooring, a third-generation, family-owned flooring contractor founded in 1943. Born in Brooklyn, New York, David graduated from Ithaca College in 1985 with a degree in business administration, and participated on the men’s crew team and rugby club during his time at IC.

David joined Consolidated Flooring in 1985, and later took company ownership alongside other third-generation family members in 1992. Today, Consolidated Flooring is one of the nation’s largest flooring contractors, serving commercial clients throughout the United States.

David is recognized throughout the construction industry as an expert on the issues of floor covering installation, has authored several articles on the benefits of employing and training skilled labor, and has been awarded the Francis JP McHale Award by the Greater New York Floor Coverers Association for his ongoing service and dedication to the flooring industry.

Along with his professional responsibilities, David volunteers his time and expertise with students and alumni as an IC Mentor Connect volunteer. Additional IC engagements include his serving as a longtime Career Services volunteer, as a host committee member for Corner Office Conversations, and as a host for “Meet the Firms,” an event during which IC School of Business students visit New York City to network with alumni.

In addition to his roles at Consolidated Flooring, David is the Co-Chair of the NY District Council of Carpenter Benefit Funds. The fund’s net assets exceed $9 billion and provide health and retirement benefits to over 30,000 unionized carpenters and their families. He is also President of the Greater New York Floor Coverers Association, Co-Chairman of INSTALL (International Standards and Training Alliance) and a past Chairman of the Floor Covering Installation Contractors Association (FCICA). He is also a member of the Board of Governors of the Building Trades Employers' Association (BTEA), and serves as Chairman on the Board of Directors of The Friends of St. Dominic's, in Blauvelt, N.Y.

David lives in Huntington, New York with his wife Rosanna. They have three children, Alyssa, Matthew, and Michael '23.
