I’m delighted to have joined the CAPS clinical team as of January 2019. I have a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Boston College, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Duke University.
In working with clients, I strive to gain not only an understanding of the person sitting in my office, but also to understand the person in the context of the relationships and systems in which they live. With this bigger picture, I support clients to identify factors that impact their mental health, develop ways to manage those factors, and find areas for positive change and growth. I am trained as a generalist, and have special interest in issues of diversity, inclusion, social justice and belonging.
In my free time I most enjoy singing along to Broadway or Disney soundtracks, and making my own ice creams---often simultaneously. Never underestimate the importance of work/life balance!
