It is important for supervisors to understand how the Workers’ Compensation program works so that you can help injured employees get prompt and proper care and ease the transition back to work when your employee recovers.
The employee is responsible for notifying you, the supervisor, of an injury/incident immediately so that the proper course of action can be implemented. The Incident Report Form should be completed, signed, and returned to the Office of Human Resources within 24 hours of the incident.
