Mentor Bios

Julie Dorsey is the founder and Director of the Women’s Mentoring Network. She is an Associate Professor and Curriculum Director in the Department of Occupational Therapy- she has worked at IC for 13 years, and is a proud alum! Julie has experience juggling work and family life, including caring for an aging parent, as well as going back to school while working full time. She can also talk about leadership development, all things curriculum/assessment/accreditation related, and the importance of mentoring for women in higher education.

Karin Wikoff has been a librarian at Ithaca College for more than 15 years, and has worked in academic libraries for 36+ years.  In addition to being able to talk to women about professional topics, she has a range of personal experience and passions that give her experience for lending support. These topics include balancing caregiving roles, dealing with complex family/personal issues and loss, experience with chronic illnesses and injuries, and political engagement and advocacy.
