Resources for Students from the Center for Health Promotion

By Kristen Lind, February 1, 2021

If you know a student that is struggling this semester, consider referring them to a BASICS or Wellness Coaching virtual appointment with the staff in the Center for Health Promotion at Ithaca College.

Center for Health Promotion staff are Nationally Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coaches and BASICS providers. They meet with students 1 on 1 and the meetings are confidential, non judgmental, and flexible. Staff work with students to find small, manageable changes that they can make to their wellness and substance use to help find a better sense of balance.

To make a referral, please email healthpromotion@ithaca.edu for more information.

Wellness Coaching and BASICS are not a substitute for counseling, but can be a great addition for students who are already seeing a counselor or therapist. If you have immediate concerns about a student’s safety, contact IC Case Management or the Ithaca College Center for Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS).

Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Kristen Lind at klind@ithaca.edu or (607) 274-3136. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
