Fitness Center Hours - Spring 2021

By Sean Reilley, February 11, 2021

The Fitness Center is now open to all students, faculty, and staff who will be living, learning, or working on-campus this semester provided that they are in compliance with all testing and screening requirements and are cleared to access campus. Members of the campus community who will be remote this semester will still have access to virtual fitness programming but will not be eligible to register for in-person activities or facility reservations.

Our hours of operation are:
Monday – Friday: 7:00am – 10:00pm
Saturday – Sunday: 9:00am – 10:00pm

While we’re working hard to create a safe exercise environment, members should expect to see significant changes to the Fitness Center’s operation. Some highlights include:

  • Access will be available by appointment only. Reservations can be made up to one day in advance at recreation.ithaca.edu. A brief video tutorial can be found here.
  • The main entrance doors are scheduled to unlock at the start of most appointment times.  To avoid waiting outside please do not arrive early.
  • All students will be required to show their green "badge" and employees must provide proof of completing their daily COVID symptom screening upon arrival.
  • A face covering must be worn at all times while in the Fitness Center except while eating or drinking. Gaiters, bandanas, and buffs are not considered acceptable face coverings for use in a gym.
  • Building occupancy will be limited. All members will be required to use their Ithaca College ID to check-in and check-out of the facility.
  • Close-contact activities such as partner workouts and recreational sports will not be permitted.
  • Towel service and shower facilities will not be available.
  • Locker room capacity will be greatly reduced, and storage cubbies will not be available for use.

Please contact Sean Reilley (sreilley@ithaca.edu) if you have any questions or concerns.

Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Sean Reilley at sreilley@ithaca.edu. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
