Tune-In for Future of the College Student Gathering on Thursday, March 4

By Dan DeCaria, March 3, 2021

Calling all IC students. Make plans to tune-in for an important student gathering during Thursday's common hour from 12:10-1:05 p.m. EST as members of the college's senior leadership host a discussion on The Future of Ithaca College.

On Wednesday, February 24, President Shirley M. Collado and Provost La Jerne Terry Cornish, with unanimous support from Ithaca College’s Board of Trustees, officially announced the decision to move forward with the final recommendations provided by the Academic Program Prioritization Implementation Committee (APPIC).

This announcement brings to conclusion the first phase of this on-going process, as the college pivots to concentrate energy and creative thought into the next two phases of its work to direct the college’s academic programming to best facilitate student success. These next two phases - restructuring and reorganization with an eye toward building better connections across schools and identifying potential for growth in strategic areas – will happen concurrently and begin immediately.

Thursday's gathering will take the shape of a live question and answer session for informative discussion on this important topic. This event will give students a fantastic opportunity to interact with President Collado, Provost Cornish and other leaders of the APP process.
