By Jennifer Tennant, March 16, 2021

Take Principles of Microeconomics asynchronously online from May 17-28, 2021!

  • Summer registration is open now.
  • Matriculated undergraduate students receive up to three free credits applicable in winter session OR summer session 2021.

In Eula Biss's "Having and Being Had," she writes, "We shouldn't ask our rich to be good... we should ask our economic system to be better."

How well do you understand our economic system? Learn more about it in Principles of Microeconomics.

The two objectives of Principles of Microeconomics are (1) to introduce economic concepts and analysis, and (2) to show you how to apply principles of economics to everyday concepts and public policies.  Economics is everywhere. After this class, you should not only be able to better understand the public policy debates and business decisions you read about in the media, like the economic impact of climate change or Medicare For All, but will also be able to make more informed decisions in your daily life, whether it is about choosing a job, amount and types of health care, or more education.
