(W)HOLY QUEER: Connecting Queerness & Spirituality

By Hierald Osorto, March 23, 2021

Join the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life in a new series welcoming LGBTQIA+ identifying religious leaders to discuss the intersections of their queer & religious identities.  This week, Michael Vazquez, Director of the HRC Foundation's Religion and Faith Program joins us in conversation with our Spirituality and Pride Fellow, Connor Watson. Together they'll explore questions of belonging, activism, and how to live whole lives that honor every part of who they are.

This evening invites students into a conversation to understand that religious identity and LGBTQIA+ identity do not need to battle against each other; in fact, they can complement each other.

Co-sponsored by the The Center for LGBT Education, Outreach, and Services at Ithaca College and the LGBT Resource Center at Cornell, this event will last 90 minutes, with approximately 20 minutes given to the speaker followed by time for discussion and Q&A.

Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Connor Watson at cwatson3@ithaca.edu. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
