Park Workshop: Self Advocacy, April 13

By Ann Marie Adams, April 12, 2021

The Roy H Park School of Communications Professional Development Office continues its 2021 workshop series.

  • PARK WORKSHOP: SELF ADVOCACY
  • Tuesday, April 13, 2021 12 noon - 1:00 p.m.
  • Develop a 3-prong self-narrative

Join Ann-Marie Adams, Park Professional Development Coordinator and Glenn Hartley IC'22 for a SNL meme filled session to craft your self advocacy pitch.

Self-advocacy means to “speak up for yourself” or “communicate your worth.” This skill is helpful in life for maintaining relationships and negotiating with others, and is even more important in the job search process.

Glenn Hartley is a junior Television-Radio Major with a Counseling minor. She enjoys the backend of TVR including casting. Glenn is on the eboard for Women in Communications and enjoys talking about Video Pitches with her club!

Ann-Marie Adams has served as the Professional Development Coordinator since February 2020 and has also taught classes across multiple departments at Ithaca College since 2015. She is a graduate of the Park School with a MS in Communications.
