COVID-19 Updates: Don’t Forget to Submit Your Vaccine Records!

By Dan DeCaria, April 20, 2021

We’re coming down the home stretch IC! In case you missed it, last week brought some important updates regarding the COVID-19 vaccine and Ithaca College’s surveillance testing policies!

Changes to Surveillance Testing Policy Begin Friday, April 23

Effective Friday, April 23, students, faculty, and staff who are fully vaccinated and meet specific criteria will be exempt from COVID-19 surveillance testing. Varsity athletes and certain athletic staff MUST continue to test to remain in compliance with Liberty League competition rules.

Full vaccination is defined as being at least 14 days past the final dose in your vaccine series – which is 14 days following your single dose if you received Johnson & Johnson or 14 days following your second dose if you received either Pfizer or Moderna.

You must still complete your Daily Health Screening, and should you become symptomatic must seek medical attention and testing.

Students, faculty, and staff each received an email message with the full details surrounding this policy update. Be sure to check out the following links to learn more prior to this change going into effect later this week.

Don’t Forget to Submit Your Vaccination Records!

Students

Students must email a picture of their vaccination card to healthcenter@ithaca.edu. The picture of the card must clearly showcase the full name, vaccine type (Pfizer, Moderna, J&J) and the dates of the vaccine doses.

Employees

Faculty and staff can submit vaccine documentation at the following link. This page will prompt you to enter your first name, last name, Ithaca College ID number, and upload a picture of the vaccine card.

Stay on Your COVID-19 Game…

Although these recent updates are another step in the right direction, it remains important that we continue to adhere to the following measures that have allowed us to navigate through this semester successfully:

  • Continue to complete the Daily Health Screening.
  • Wear a face covering at all times when in public settings.

  • Limit gatherings to only members of your household or immediate social bubble. When gathering, try to host gatherings outdoors rather than in confined indoor spaces.

  • Practice good hand hygiene frequently.

  • Respect visual cues for physical distancing.

It’s the home stretch IC, let’s be #ICinThisTogether to finish the semester strong!
