Students, faculty, staff and alumni raised $500 for Ithaca's Dorothy Cotton Institute to support human rights and justice initiatives
In the summer of 2020, the EquAT and InclusivAT program within the Athletic Training Education program in the Department of Exercise Science & Athletic Training put together a program to raise funds for a local agency or cause that is dedicated to human rights, social justice and related issues. By selling clothing items with the EquAT and InclusivAT logo and promoting the campaign to program alumni, students, faculty and staff, the program raised $500. After extensive research and deliberation, the Student Cabinet (leadership) of EquAT and InclusivAT decided on the Dorothy Cotton Institute as the worthy recipient of the donation.
The funds were sent to Senior Fellow & Interim Project Director of the DCI, Laura Branca in March. Pictured here are ESAT Chair & Clinical Professor, Chris Hummel, AT Director and Professor Paul R.
