Update from Dr. Odalys Diaz Piñeiro, Vice President for Finance andAdministration Search Chair

By Jaimie Voorhees, May 18, 2021

I am pleased to share with the campus community that based on a successful semi-finalist interview process, in late April the search committee recommended four strong finalists for vice president for finance and administration to the president. All four finalists had the opportunity to meet in person and in virtual formats with the president and the search committee. They also met with a large number of campus stakeholders, including members of the Senior Leadership Team, the Division of Finance and Administration, and the Institutional Effectiveness and Budget Committee (IEBC); the Executive Committees of the Faculty Council, Staff Council, and Student Governance Council; and other leaders across the college.

President Collado has received thorough feedback from members of all participating groups, and after performing her due diligence will announce her decision by the end of May.

I thank the following dedicated members of the search committee with whom I had the privilege and great pleasure to work.

  • Susan Bassett ’79, Associate Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreational Sports
  • Michael Conover ’81, Ithaca College Trustee
  • Shana Gore, Executive Director, Student Financial Services
  • Marc Israel ’05, Assistant Provost, Finance and Administrative Operations
  • Grace Madeya ’23, student representative on Institutional Effectiveness and Budget Committee (IEBC)
  • Chris McNamara ’81, Clinical Associate Professor, Department of Physical Therapy; Director, Occupational Therapy/Physical Therapy Clinic; and Chair, Faculty Council
  • Jim Yaggie, Professor and Director of the Human Anatomy Laboratory, Department of Physical Therapy

Sincerely,

Odalys Diaz Piñeiro, Ed.D.
