On-Campus Food Pantry Remains Open for Summer 2021

By Doreen Hettich-Atkins, June 9, 2021

The on-campus Food Pantry will remain open for Summer 2021 and is available to faculty, staff, and students.  To access the pantry, go to the information desk between 8am and 8pm Tuesday through Sunday and the staff will give you access.

The on-campus food pantry is a permanent location on campus which stores food and grocery items, personal care products, household paper products, dairy products, frozen foods, and some fresh produce.  The Pantry at Ithaca College is located in the DeMotte room which is located on the lower level of the Egbert Hall/Campus Center building.  For the Summer 2021 semester, it can be accessed from the Information Desk in the Campus Center.

The pantry will remain accessible during the hours that the Campus Center is open Tuesdays through Sundays. The Pantry will be closed on Mondays to allow us time to restock and do a thorough cleaning of the space.  The Campus Center open hours are Monday – Sunday from 8:00am – midnight.

All members of the campus community can utilize the pantry by stopping by the information desk.  Shoppers should bring their IC ID with them.  You will be asked to stop at a table near the information desk (placed away for the safety of you and the staff at the desk), to show your ID, and give your name to the information desk staff person.  They will then let you know how to access the pantry.

Shoppers are limited to one bag of food per visit but can visit as often as they need to in order to provide for their needs.  Shoppers should bring their own reusable grocery bag (limited plastic bags are available).

The pantry will remain open as long as we are able to continue to keep it stocked.  We ask that shoppers are responsible and respectful and take only what they need and will use in a short period of time.  Shoppers should be vaccinated against COVID-19 and participate in the daily screening program.
