Vaccine Documentation Submission Deadline
All students who will be actively enrolled in the Fall 2021 semester must submit their vaccine documentation to the Hammond Health Center by Monday, July 19, 2021. This deadline allows for adequate time to process this documentation in advance of the scheduled move-in dates in August. Once the vaccination series is complete, please email pictures (front and back) of your COVID-19 vaccination card to the Hammond Health Center at healthcenter@ithaca.edu. These pictures should clearly and legibly show:

  • Full Name
  • Type of Vaccine Received
  • Dates of Vaccine Doses

When to Start the Vaccine Series if Planning to Receive Pfizer or Moderna
The Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines are both administered in a two-dose series. Students receiving the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine should schedule their first vaccine appointment no later than the week of June 14-20, 2021, to ensure that they have completed their vaccine series prior to the submission deadline and are fully immunized prior to accessing campus this fall.

When to Obtain the Vaccine if Planning to Receive Johnson & Johnson
The Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine is administered as a one-dose shot. Students receiving the Johnson & Johnson vaccine should schedule their vaccine appointment any time prior to July 19, 2021, to ensure that they have completed their vaccine series prior to the submission deadline and are fully immunized prior to accessing campus this fall.

Where to Find Vaccine Appointment Availability and More Information
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) vaccine webpage provides excellent resources and information regarding the COVID-19 vaccine. This webpage also includes a helpful link that can be used to identify vaccine opportunities near you throughout the United States. The vaccine webpage located on Ithaca College’s Return to Campus website is a great resource to learn more about COVID-19 vaccination as well.

Your cooperation and commitment will help to ensure a vibrant and engaging campus community for this upcoming year. Thank you!
