The Office of the Provost is pleased to announce that Dr. Andrew Utterson, Associate Professor of Screen Studies in the Park School of Communications, has been reappointed for a three-year term as the Ithaca Seminar Program Coordinator. Dr. Utterson was first appointed to the role of Ithaca Seminar Coordinator in January 2019, and this reappointment will extend his tenure through August 15, 2024.
The Ithaca Seminar Program Coordinator position requires a deep, demonstrated commitment to the first-year experience and the ICC, experience with curriculum development, excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, and the ability to collaborate well with faculty and staff in the interest of program improvement. Leadership of the program involves planning faculty development activities, engaging in program assessment, chairing the ICSM Steering Committee, and liaising with a number of offices that focus on the first-year experience. For the past two years, the role also required ex officio membership on the Provost’s Task Force on ICC Revision.
