EARLY ARRIVAL PROCESS REMINDER

By Marsha Dawson, June 21, 2021

Dear Faculty and Staff,

To aid in your planning for the upcoming fall, we wanted to share a final reminder regarding the early arrival request process for students participating in pre-semester programs and prospective student employees.

The aim is to continue the efforts to minimize the number of individual students and student groups returning early. However, if that is not feasible, and an early arrival return is needed, please take the following steps:

  • Budget accordingly to have your student meals covered until the beginning of the Ithaca College dining plan on Monday, August 16.
  • Adhere to the early arrival move in dates: Tuesday, August 10 or Sunday, August 15. Note that Monday, August 16 and Tuesday, August 17 are designated first-year move in dates, and Thursday, August 19 and Friday, August 20 are returning student's move in dates.
  • For individual student early arrival requests, they can email reslife@ithaca.edu by Thursday, June 24. A representative will respond during business days within 48hrs.
  • For student employees and pre-semester programs, please obtain approval from your Department or Division's Vice President. And follow the steps below.
  • The Move-In Committee will be unable to guarantee enough check-in appointments for early arrival submissions that are made after the June 24 deadline.
  • Please note that we strongly encourage that students you are requesting for early arrivals be FULLY VACCINATED before arriving on-campus.

We hope this information helps in your preparations for this coming semester. For further details, you may refer to the previous intercom message here: https://www.ithaca.edu/residential-life/important-dates/early-arrivals or visit the Residential Life "Early Arrival" website. Contact reslife@ithaca.edu with any questions you may have.

Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Office of Residential Life at reslife@ithaca.edu. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
