The NSF funded REU in the math department finished up with a poster session on Friday July 30. Ted Galanthay, Dan Visscher, and Dave Brown worked with nine students (one from IC) on the projects Evolutionary dynamics of dispersal – Lattice models of ecological dynamics, Billiard dynamics on surfaces of revolution, and Pruned fractal trees - Iterated function systems with memory. Congratulations to all involved for a productive summer research experience.
Students: Iris Glogic, Skyler Moomey, Quinn Stoddard-O'Neill, Susan Cao, Jack Klawitter, Kevin Manogue, Emma Anderson, Jack Krueger, and Bianca Teves.
