The on-campus Food Pantry will have new hours for the Fall 2021 semester. The on-campus Food Pantry is available to faculty, staff, and students.
As of August 24th, the pantry hours will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:15 – 2:00pm and Wednesdays and Fridays from 4-6pm. The pantry will be closed on Mondays for restocking and cleaning. Students, faculty or staff who are unable to access the pantry during these hours or who would prefer to shop more privately can contact Karen Walls at kwalls@ithaca.edu to set up an alternate time.
The on-campus food pantry is a permanent location on campus which stores food and grocery items, personal care products, household paper products, dairy products, frozen foods, and some fresh produce. The Pantry at Ithaca College is located in the DeMotte room which is located on the lower level of the Egbert Hall/Campus Center building. To access this space, you would go down the stairs to the left of the Information Desk in the Campus Center.
All members of the campus community can utilize the pantry by stopping by during open hours (there is no income information required to shop). Shoppers should bring their IC ID with them. You will be asked to check in once you arrive and then will be able to shop. Shoppers are limited to one bag of food per visit, but can visit as often as they need to in order to provide for their needs. Shoppers should bring their own reusable grocery bag (limited plastic bags are available).
The pantry will remain open as long as we are able to have volunteers to help during the scheduled open times. Faculty, staff and students are invited to volunteer by signing up here. Volunteers must be vaccinated against the Coronavirus due to the small space and close proximity that you will have with those using the space.
We are also, once again, accepting donations of non-perishable items. Non-perishable items (clean, unopened, unexpired) can be left at the Information Desk.
