Swim Lessons Available - Fall 2021

The Ithaca College Swimming and Diving team will be offering their annual Fall Swim Lessons. Whether you or your child wants to continue growing in the pool after the summer months with the ability to work on refining strokes, turns, starts or diving; the swimming & diving team is here to help. We invite all different ages and skill abilities to participate.

A member of the team will teach participants in either a private lesson or in a group of two. We are offering 30-minute lessons; or for a person older than 5 and of a lap swimming level he/she may sign up for an hour-long lesson. The 30-minute sessions are 10:00-10:30, 10:45-11:15 and 11:30-12:00. The hour-long session is 10:00-11:00.

This session we will not be holding a make-up lesson date…. there will be no opportunities to do make-up lessons.

We will be offering five lessons on the following dates:

September 11, 18, 25 and October 2, 9 2021

The fee for five 30-minute lessons will be $75.00; the fee for five 1-hour lessons will be $150.00. Please register by going to the IC Recreation web page; (recreation.Ithaca.edu), click on the Aquatics tab and the available sessions will be displayed. There is limited space in each session, and it will be on a first come basis.

Please arrive for the first lesson on September 11th fifteen minutes before the start of your lesson. Each participant will be subject to a temperature check and Covid screening questions.  The locker rooms will be open and we highly recommend limiting locker room usage when possible. Participants should bring their own suit and towel.  Spectators are limited to parent(s) only and will be seated on the bleachers on the pool deck. All spectators are required to wear a mask at all times.  Enter the pool by going through the Men's and Women’s Locker rooms and meet at the record board end of the facility (north end). There you will meet your instructor and have an opportunity to discuss your goals for the program.

If you have any questions regarding the registration process or the lessons you may contact Mike Blakely-Armitage, IC Assistant Coach at 607-274-3119 or Marley Baum, Student Office Assistant, at mbaum1@ithaca.edu.
