Ithaca College has added a Reading Day to the academic calendar, prior to the beginning of Finals Week, allowing non-scheduled time for students to prepare for their final exams.
During reading days, no required academic activities including classes, labs, or assignments will be scheduled. Reading days are intended to allow students an opportunity to reflect, prepare, and review prior to taking final exams.
Faculty may consider offering study sessions or office hours for students to attend if they choose during reading days. Student attendance at any supplemental sessions or office hours would be voluntary.
Please note the following dates at the end of the Fall 2021 term:
- Tuesday, December 7: Thursday classes will be held
- Wednesday, December 8: Friday classes will be held; last day of classes before Finals Week
- Thursday, December 9: Reading Day
- Friday, December 10: Beginning of Finals Week
