AAUP Invites All Interested Faculty to First Fall Meeting

The Ithaca College chapter of AAUP (American Association of University Professors) announces its first general meeting for AY 2021-22.  It will take place this coming Friday, Sept. 10, from 4-5pm via Zoom.

All interested faculty members are welcome to participate.

The meeting will enable us to address some organizational matters, and then to proceed to discussion of some substantive issues.  Possible agenda items include:

--A public statement re: the presidential search process
--Approaches to formulating a more fully equitable governance structure 
--The status of workload as a governance issue
--IC COVID protocols
--Issues of administrative-faculty collaboration relative to a number of changes that occurred over the summer, notably the closure of the Academic Advising Center; the relocation of Theatre to the School of Music; the elevation of ICC-related course caps
--The current financial status of the institution
