Campus Community Members:

Facilities Services Appreciation Week is celebrated each fall during the month of September. Recognized worldwide as Housekeeper Appreciation Week since 1981, this program honors the efforts and dedication of professionals who maintain a clean, safe and healthy environment for their colleagues and the public.

At Ithaca College, the valued Facilities Services team deserves recognition not only for their outstanding hard work to clean, disinfect, move, store and set-up areas to ensure our work environments are comfortable and safe, but also for their demonstrated ability to react quickly and efficiently to changing demands in the pandemic environment.  Our team has been front and center throughout the past eighteen months, and I am proud and appreciative of their collective performance, dedication and “can-do” attitude.

I invite you to join me in sincerely thanking the Facilities Services staff for their hard work, institutional loyalty and dedicated service. This team has and will continue to play a critical role in the health and safety of our campus community, and for that, I am sincerely appreciative every day.

Thank you all.

Dr. Timothy Carey
Associate Vice President, IC Facilities
