Interested in Teaching a Winter Session Course?

By Christina Moylan, September 19, 2021

Two students in winter coats are walking along the quad during winter with snow covering the ground.

Aligned with the college's strategic plan to build toward a 12-month campus, the Office of Extended Studies (OES) is  currently soliciting undergraduate course proposals from faculty interested in teaching during winter session 2022. We are especially interested in offering undergraduate courses that assist students with making progress on major or minor degree requirements, ICC coursework, or other elective courses that generate high demand. Please note that minimum enrollment for courses to proceed will be 8 students.

There are three sub-terms during winter session, 1 three-week term and 2 two-week terms. Dates are available on the Office of the Registrar's academic calendar. Courses may be offered on campus or online (asynchronous or synchronous).

Interested faculty should connect with their department chairs, as information on the course proposal process was shared with them in early September. Faculty interested in offering graduate coursework should connect with their Dean's Office as those courses are not managed by OES. Please review the OES For Faculty site for additional policies and for answers to frequently asked questions.

The due date for course proposals to OES is October 1, 2021. Faculty should work through their department chairs; faculty do not communicate their course requests to OES directly.

Thank you for your interest.
