Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) – October 2021

By Samantha Elebiary, September 21, 2021

Join members of the Sexual Violence Prevention Committee (SVPC), the Center for IDEAS, and the Advocacy Center of Tompkins County as we recognize Domestic Violence Awareness Month during the month of October.

October 1st marks the beginning of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. During the month of October, Ithaca College's Sexual Violence Prevention Committee and campus partners will be hosting a number of events, both virtual and in-person, and sharing educational social media content (@ic_svpc) to provide opportunities for campus community members to learn more about domestic violence prevention, bystander intervention, affirmative consent, healthy relationships and much more.

To register for events visit the SVPC Event-Page or find them on IC Engage. All of the programs count as SLIs, so don’t forget to register there if you want SLI credit for the event!

Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Omar Stoute at svpc@ithaca.edu or 607-274-5736. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
