Come down to the Center for Creative Technology Makerspace (Friends 102) to learn about how to take a 2D digital design and turn it into a 3D physical object! Attendees of this workshop will be provided with project materials to bring their own design to life, or customize a design found online.

Introduction to Laser Cutting Workshop

The laser cutter is a powerful piece of machinery that uses a directional laser beam to cut through a variety of materials like plywood, solid hardwoods, acrylic, leather, and more. Laser cutters may seem a bit limiting because they can only cut out flat objects, but there are many unexpected and surprising projects that you can create with laser cutters like the one we have in our Makerspace.

This workshop will be offered twice with 6 seats at each:

10/7 at 5-6pm (RSVP HERE)

and

10/8 at 2-3pm (RSVP HERE)
