Join Exploratory Program Peer Leaders on Thursday, November 4th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in Friends 207. They will be hosting a tutorial on academic mapping: creating a semester-by-semester 4-year plan to graduate on time.
Students who have learned academic mapping report feeling calmer and more in control of their future. Mapping skills enable students to build in flexibility and structure into each of their semesters. Maps are useful to share with faculty advisors, and come in handy when discussing plans with parents, friends, and other supporters. They also empower students to make informed choices about course selection (for majors, minors, completing the ICC, or free electives). Academic maps take into consideration things like students' plans to study abroad, take summer or winter session courses, and complete internships or field work commitments.
Attendees will receive an electronic template and digital access to a PowerPoint presentation on mapping.
This event is free and open to any student! Make sure to bring a laptop, tablet, and/or a mobil phone if you have one you can bring!
Snacks will be provided!
