The American Advertising Federation (AAF) Student Advertising Career Conference (SACC) is a three-day event where students across the country learn about the field of advertising, discover what trends are developing in the industry, and ignite their careers by networking with knowledgeable advertising professionals. This event, held November 4-6, was emceed each day by IMC Professor Scott Hamula who chairs the AAF National Education Executive Committee (NEEC). The conference is an embodiment of NEEC’s new mantra, SMARTER TOGETHER.
Keynotes were hosted by prominent industry leaders including Doug Melville, Global Head of Diversity & Inclusion at TBWA (“Being Disruptive AF”); Christena Pyle, Chief Equity Officer at dentsu’s Americas (“Together With…”); and Corey Richardson, VP of Cultural Learning & Insights at fluent360 (“A Fire Keynote on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion”). Breakout sessions included “What I Do All Day,” “That’s Advertising?”, “Peer Networking,” “Beating Burnout,” “Tech Talks,” and “Profesh Yourself.” The event concluded with a Virtual Recruiters Expo and Certifications Expo.
