Teach in the Summer College for HS Students

By Christina Moylan, November 10, 2021

We are excited to welcome back to campus this summer our pre-college Summer College for High School Students program. This important program offers high school students an opportunity to complete a 3 credit course, experience college residential living, and be introduced to the beautiful Ithaca College campus during the summer.

We are currently seeking faculty who may be interested in offering a course during the Summer College program. If you have an interest in teaching your course, and connecting with high school students in the process, then we are interested in hearing from you! Courses will be taught during a three-week period, from July 6 – July 22, 2022. Courses are credit-bearing (so should already be approved in the catalog or faculty should plan to work with OES early in the spring to obtain approval prior to summer) and should be appropriate to introduce high school students to a field or discipline. We are especially interested in offering courses that explore race, social justice, and power as part of the course content. Your class will meet Monday - Friday from approximately 9:30 – 11:30 am and then 1:00 – 2:30 pm. Teaching is compensated at the summer session rate which is available at this link.

If you might like to participate, please contact Joslyn Brenton at jbrenton@ithaca.edu with the course subject and course name as soon as possible as we will be finalizing summer course offerings to advertise to high school students soon.
